NHIA CEO Visits RCC Office

The Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) welcomed Dr. Victor Asare Bampoe, the new CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), and his team to its office. The CEO was congratulated on his appointment, and a productive meeting was held to discuss key challenges affecting the scheme in the region.

The meeting focused on addressing issues hindering the effective operation of the NHIA in the region, including inadequate water supply in some offices. There was also a discussion on improving access to healthcare services in hard-to-reach areas, such as the Kajeji enclaves, where a boat would greatly facilitate access. Additionally, the need for a vehicle to support operations in the Sene constituency was highlighted. The RCC also requested provision of office space for some Municipal and District Assemblies.

The RCC appreciated the CEO’s willingness to listen and respond positively to the requests, paving the way for improved healthcare delivery in the region.
