The Bono East Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) has received a delegation from the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs, who paid a courtesy call to engage on matters of mutual interest and the development of the Region.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the RCC to engage with Nananom, listen to concerns raised, and reaffirm government’s commitment to working closely with traditional authorities to promote development and progress across Bono East.
The RCC also briefed Nananom on key government interventions and upcoming projects in the Region, including the continuation of the Free SHS policy, the National Apprenticeship Programme, digital education initiatives, and improvements in healthcare, education, transportation and public service delivery.
Specific attention was drawn to the newly established DVLA office in Nkoranza and the yet-to-be-commissioned DVLA office at Atebubu, the established Passport Office, the proposed Regional Hospital, and plans for a Regional Sports Stadium. The RCC also highlighted the provision of two ISD vans to strengthen public information dissemination and outreach across the Region.
These interventions form part of government’s broader commitment to accelerating development, creating opportunities for the people, and improving the quality of life across Bono East.
The RCC expressed appreciation to Nananom for their continued wisdom, guidance and support, and reaffirmed the importance of strengthening collaboration between government and traditional authorities in building a more prosperous and sustainable Bono East Region.
