I welcomed members of the investigative committee constituted by the Ministry of Health to investigate matters concerning the recent unrest at the Nursing Training College, Techiman-Krobo.
The committee, chaired by Prof. Vida Nyagre Yakong, Deputy CEO of HeFRA, paid a courtesy visit as they commenced their work. Other members include Mrs. Aisha Sena Iddrisu, General Secretary of COHHETI; Mr. Ahmed Bennett Mumuni, Human Resource Manager, Bono East RCC; Nana Asa Akon Panin, Techiman Krobohene; Mrs. Hephzibah Eyram Gyimah, Deputy Director Operations, NMC; Dr. Inua Yusuf Issahaku Esq., Legal Director, Ministry of Health; and Mr. Nashiru-Deen Akparibo of GNMTA.
I assured the committee of my support and emphasized the importance of a fair and transparent investigation to help restore peace and strengthen the learning environment at the institution.
The committee is expected to submit its report to the Minister of Health on or before Tuesday, 11th August, 2026.
