Regional Coordinating Council

The Bono East Region was created on 13th February 2019 by Constitutional Instrument (CI) 113 with Techiman as the Regional Capital

A peaceful, United and Prosperous Region with sustainable  development and opportunities for all

The Bono East Regional Coordinating Council exists to facilitate the overall development of the Region through effective monitoring and evaluation of programmes and plans of its Assemblies, Departments, Agencies and Development partners.

To provide effective and efficient administration and technical  backstopping to the Assemblies and Departments of the Bono East Regional Coordinating Council

FUNCTIONS OF THE REGIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL

1. Monitor, Coordinate and evaluate performance of the Municipal and District Assemblies
2. Monitor the use of moneys allocated to the Assemblies by Central Government and its agencies and moneys mobilized by the Assemblies
3. Review and coordinate public services in the Maintain security and public safety in the Region
4. Harmonize development plans of Assemblies
5. Provide technical backstopping the Assemblies
6. Approval of the by-laws of the District Assemblies
7. Oversight responsibility for second-cycle educational institutions and Regional hospitals in the Region on behalf of the Ministries of Education and Health
8. Perform such other functions as assigned to it under any enactment
