Agrico Hub calls on the New Bono East Regional Minister

On Thursday, the leadership of Agrico Hub, led by our CEO George Antwi-Boasiako, paid a courtesy visit to the new Bono East Regional Minister, Mr. Francis Owusu Antwi, to extend our congratulations and introduce the impactful work we are doing to build a thriving Entrepreneurship and Digital Innovation Ecosystem in the region.

During their discussions, they explored strategic collaboration opportunities to drive agricultural transformation, recognizing Bono East as an agriculturally dominant region. A key highlight of our engagement was the introduction of the Startups Cooperative Credit Union, which is providing tailored financial solutions to MSMEs, startups, and farmer cooperatives, particularly in the cashew value chain. The Minister expressed a strong interest in agricultural financing, emphasizing its critical role in unlocking growth opportunities for farmers and Agripreneurs.

Additionally, they briefed him on the upcoming Agric TVET short courses, a collaborative initiative between Agrico Hub and SE Ghana under the ACTIVATE program, supported by WUSC and the Mastercard Foundation. This program is designed to equip youth, women, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Bono East with the skills and resources needed to thrive in the agricultural sector.

The meeting was further enriched by the presence of Mr. Kwabena Owusu, who visited Agrico Hub as part of a working tour under the ESO Collaborative SCALE Program by Impact Investing Ghana. His visit coincided with our engagement with the Minister, during which he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting and sustaining the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Bono East. He urged the Regional Minister to support and enhance Agrico Hub’s efforts in sustaining and expanding its impact on the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in the region.

Notably, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi assured the team of his full support in advancing Agrico Hub’s efforts to drive local economic development and enhance the region’s growth agenda.

As we continue to foster high-impact collaborations, Agrico Hub remains dedicated to driving sustainable agricultural development, digital innovation, and entrepreneurship across the region. We look forward to translating these engagements into meaningful outcomes that empower businesses and transform communities.
