Six New MMDCEs Sworn In at Bono East Regional Coordinating Council

Techiman, April 9, 2025 – The Bono East Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) today held a formal swearing-in ceremony for six newly appointed Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), marking a new chapter in local governance and leadership within the region.

The ceremony, held at the RCC premises in Techiman, was presided over by the Regional Minister, who administered the Oath of Office to the appointees in line with constitutional provisions. The event was witnessed by traditional leaders, religious heads, members of the security services, departmental heads, and family members of the new executives.

In his address, the Regional Minister congratulated the newly sworn-in MMDCEs and expressed confidence in their ability to lead effectively. He reminded them that their appointments come with great responsibility and should be approached with a deep sense of humility and service.

“The people have entrusted you with leadership not as a position of power, but of responsibility. Your success will be measured by how well you serve the needs of your constituents,” he stated.

The Minister also urged the new executives to work closely with technocrats within their districts, as well as with traditional authorities and religious leaders. He noted that these groups form the backbone of community development and collaboration with them is crucial for effective governance.

Furthermore, the Minister encouraged the MMDCEs to maintain strong working relationships with their respective Members of Parliament (MPs). He emphasized that unity of purpose between MPs and MMDCEs is essential in driving the development agenda of the region.

The swearing-in ceremony concluded with a group photograph and a call to action for all newly appointed executives to uphold the values of integrity, accountability, and inclusiveness in the discharge of their duties.

The Bono East Regional Coordinating Council extends its best wishes to the new MMDCEs as they begin their journey of service to the people and communities of the region.
