Bono East Region Renews Commitment to Accountability with 2026 Performance Contract Signing

The Bono East Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) has signed the 2026 Performance Contract at its Conference Hall, reaffirming its solemn commitment to accountable, efficient, and results-oriented governance for the people of the region. The signing forms a core component of the Local Government Service Performance Management System, which seeks to institutionalize a strong culture of accountability and performance across public institutions.

The exercise brings together Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), who were charged to provide effective leadership and the necessary resources to ensure the successful implementation of the Key Performance Areas and Indicators outlined in the contract. The performance contract serves as a strategic tool to align local governance priorities with national development objectives.

The signing was further positioned within the broader Reset Agenda championed by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, emphasizing renewed focus on efficiency, transparency, and measurable development outcomes. Stakeholders were encouraged to work collaboratively to translate policy commitments into tangible results that directly benefit communities across the region.

With the formalization of the 2026 Performance Contract, Bono East Region has signaled its determination to set the pace in performance, transparency, and sustainable development, with the ultimate goal of becoming a leading region in Ghana’s governance and development landscape.
