On behalf of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, the Bono East Regional Minister commissioned two (2) ISD Communication Rigs for the Bono East Region to strengthen public education and improve information dissemination across communities.
The commissioning of the communication rigs marks an important step in enhancing the capacity of the Information Services Department (ISD) to effectively carry out its mandate of educating, informing, and engaging the public on government policies, programmes, and national issues.
The newly commissioned rigs will support the ISD in reaching more communities, particularly at the grassroots level, with timely, accurate, and reliable information. This intervention is expected to deepen public awareness, promote civic responsibility, and strengthen the connection between government and the people.
Speaking at the event, the Regional Minister commended the staff of the Information Services Department for their dedication and commitment to public service despite the challenges they often encounter in the discharge of their duties. The Minister encouraged them to continue working diligently to ensure that citizens remain well-informed on matters of national development.
The Regional Minister also expressed appreciation to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for his continued commitment to strengthening public communication systems and improving effective service delivery across the country. According to the Minister, the President’s dedication to empowering state institutions remains vital in promoting transparency, accountability, and inclusive development.
The Bono East Regional Coordinating Council remains committed to supporting initiatives that enhance effective communication and bring government closer to the people.
