A delegation from the Feeder Roads Department has paid a courtesy call on the Bono East Regional Coordinating Council to provide an update on the Ghana Market Access and Connectivity Project (GMACP), which is being supported by the World Bank.
The team outlined progress made in improving road infrastructure across selected communities to enhance access to markets, particularly in rural areas. The project is expected to significantly boost economic activities by reducing transportation challenges and improving access for farmers, traders, and local businesses.
The engagement also provided a platform to discuss implementation challenges and reaffirm commitment to the successful and timely delivery of the project.
The Regional Coordinating Council welcomed the update and reiterated its support for initiatives that promote improved connectivity, economic growth, and sustainable development across the region.
